I was born on the 21st of December, 1978 in Sempeter pri Novi Gorici, attended primary school in Most na Soci, secondary school in Nova Gorica and recently received a B.Sc. degree in computer and information science from University of Ljubljana. I graduated with the thesis "Kvalitativno usmerjanje genetskih algoritmov pri vodenju dinamicnih sistemov" (Qualitative guidance of genetic algorithms in dynamic system control) under supervision of akad. prof. dr. Ivan Bratko.

In the past years I have worked on many projects. Some are listed below:

• In 1998 I worked at Adacta d.o.o. and developed a database engine for a comercial application
• From 1999 to 2001 worked at Techno Sky d.o.o. and developed a specialized software for Agency of RS for flight control
• In 2002 developed a simulator of electrical market for Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Laboratory for energetic stategies
• From 2003 on I have been working on a data mining software called Orange. I developed Orange Canvas and several widgets (components), mostly for data visualization.
• In June, 2007 I received my Ph.D. for the thesis "Data visualization using machine learning" (in Slovene).
• From July, 2007 I'm working as a researcher on a European project XPERO.
